Passwords, OTPs and recovery
Use strong, distinct credentials where a service supports passwords, and protect the email or phone account connected to recovery. OTPs and recovery codes are secrets: do not send them to another person.
If you receive a login or reset message you did not initiate, open the known service independently rather than following the message link.

Phishing and destination checks
Attackers can copy logos, layouts and brand names. Check the destination and connection before entering account information, especially when arriving from an advertisement, message or forwarded link.
- Do not share passwords or OTPs.
- Avoid unknown remote software and screen-sharing requests.
- Keep devices and browsers updated.
- Review account activity where the service provides it.
Payment and privacy safety
Do not reveal bank passwords or card PINs to support staff. Limit the personal information you expose publicly and avoid posting screenshots that contain account IDs, balances, QR codes or recovery data.
